Letters patent for the University to bear arms as depicted in colour in left hand margin. The arms are gules, a cross ermine between four lions passant gardant or, and on the cross a closed book fessways gules, clasped and garnished or, the clasps downward. The document bears the seal of office of Clarencieux on a queue.

Grant of the right to bear arms to the Regius Professors of King Henry VIII and their successors. The arms are described and depicted in colour in the upper margin. There is also an elaborated storiated initial 'T', in colour. The document bears the seal of office of Clarencieux on a queue.
