Correspondence, official circulars and other papers regarding Royal Society council business:
(1) Papers on council business, 1907-1935, including the Copley and Royal Medals, the Mackinnon Studentship, an astrographic chart, the need to establish a station for solar photography at an Australian observatory, the Royal Society receiving the Greenwich Time Signal, the new International Geodetic Association, the Bureau des Longitudes and the powers of Royal Society's national committees.
(2) Papers on council business, 1879-1901, comprised mainly of circulars, including the Royal Society Report of the British Academy Committee, 1900; a letter granting Bushley House and its grounds for the use of the National Physical Laboratory and conditions to be observed, 1900; Royal Society procedure for the nomination of foreign members, 1879; and Royal Society instructions for government grant boards.
(3) Papers on council business relating mainly to the Inter-Allied Conference on International Scientific Organizations, Paris, November 1918, including lists of delegates; the agenda; Royal Society resolutions to be submitted to the conference, with a statement; a draft proposal of the American delegates; resolutions to be submitted to Allied governments; and the constitution for national councils for developing scientific and industrial research.
