Correspondence with the Director of Works concerning the construction of the New Museum and the Physical Observatory, 1888-1899, including the following: 1. Plans of the buildings; 2. Estimated cost of construction; 3. Contract for construction; 4. Extract from the Astronomer Royal's diary, 18 May 1889; and 5. Extract from the Report of the Astronomer Royal to the Board of Visitors.

Correspondence with Christie concerning the construction of the New Museum and Physical Observatory, 1890-1895. The correspondents are H. Pilkington, the Director of Works; W.M. Crisp; C. Jordan; E.J. Woodhead; and W.J. Wharton.

Correspondence with the Director of Works concerning the ornamental work outside the east and west wings of the new buildings, 1898, with three photographs of the ornamental work for the gables, as well as rough plans, notes and memoranda concerning the building work.
