Correspondence with tradesmen, initials N-W, including letters from opticians; booksellers; printers; glycerine manufacturers; and builders. There is a paper by Airy, dated March 1857, titled 'Specification for the Building carrying the New South-East Dome of the Royal Observatory Greenwich', containing eleven plans of various angles of the building. There are also seventeen plans by Ransome and Sims relating to instruments and fittings, probably for the South-East Dome, including piers and the observer's chair. |
