Miscellaneous papers concerning astronomical matters, including letters from R. Sheepshanks, W. Lassell, Sir F. Beaufort, Captain Becher and W. Cubitt. The subjects covered include axial rotation; occultations visible at Cambridge, March-July 1849; the origin of the Moon; a paper on Sir J.F.W.
