Correspondence on the position and identity of stars; requests for star catalogues; parts of star catalogues, including Maskelyne's star ledgers, 1755-1816; and some computations. There are brief papers by R.C. Carrington on 20 circumpolar stars; works on variable stars by N.R. Pogson; drawings of the ring and dumb-bell nebulae by W. Lassell; and treatments of the Great Nebula in Orion by G.P. Bond and O. Struve.
