|
'The Astronomical Almanac' series began in 1981 with the unification of 'The American Ephemeris and Nautical Almanac' and 'The Astronomical Ephemeris'. The introduction of the new series was accompanied by major revision of the scope and arrangement of the contents and the sharing of computations and the composition of tables and text.
RGO 52 contains an unbroken series of editions of the 'The Astronomical Almanac' published jointly by the U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, and Her Majesty's Stationery Office/The Stationery Office, London.
Editions of the series have been added to the R.G.O. Archives at regular intervals. Details of later accessions can be found in an envelope accompanying the collection and in the relevant entries in this catalogue.
Newly published volumes in the series will be added periodically.
