Various catalogues reduced to the beginnings of several years in right ascension and north polar distance for 1801-1830, comparison of catalogues at different epochs, and computed north polar distances by different refractions; computation of the Sun's diameter in turn reduced to the Earth's mean distance, 1801-1816; an account of William Hardy's transit clock, 1811-1830; and the zenith distance of Alpha Lyrae, 28 January 1825 - 17 May 1830, made with both Edward Troughton and Thomas Jones' mural circles.
