Reddish, Royal Observatory, Edinburgh, and John Hutchinson, Science Research Council, regarding optics specifications for the 48-inch Schmidt Telescope, including the manufacture of blanks, with accompanying draft specifications for blanks. There is also correspondence between Redman and I.S. Bowen, Hale Observatories, on mirror distortion resulting from the use of Cervit blanks, including a handwritten note on the coefficients of expansion.
