Content and context

A letter from S.C.B. Gascoigne, 9 September 1974, and a copy of Redman's reply of 28 September, regarding the progress of the Anglo-Australian Telescope project. Gascoigne encloses a copy of the record of the output of a microsensor bearing on the right ascension gear. There is also a handwritten note by Gascoigne concerning O.J. Eggen's television interview in the Anglo-Australian Telescope dome and the politics of the Australian National University, which Redman replies to off the record.
