Content and context

Microfilms of records in the R.G.O. Archives. There are three main series - RGO 1-3 (John Flamsteed, Edmond Halley, James Bradley and Nathaniel Bliss), RGO 6 (G.B. Airy) and RGO 14 (Board of Longitude) - and a fourth, miscellaneous series.

Most of the microfilms were made by the Public Record Office and presented subsequently to the R.G.O. Archives. The remaining microfilms were produced by Cambridge University Library and other institutions.
