RGO Archives/RGO 1/48 contains:
A Lunar calculations. 'Planetarum loca ab Ab: Sharpio ... Supputata' (Places of the planets ... calculated by Abraham Sharp'), calculations in Sharp's hand relating to the Moon and planets, compiled from data of various dates between 1676 and 1689. There is also part of a letter from Sharp, 1705 (5v), and a guide to the contents of the volume (2v).
1 volume.
circa 1690–1705
B Lunar calculations. Lunar calculations compiled from data of 1679-1680, with unfinished tables of stars in Aries, Taurus and Cancer. The writing is on the rectos only, in Abraham Sharp's hand.
1 volume.
circa 1681
C Rough calculations. Rough calculations of circa 1687-1690, with tables of Jupiter for 1688 (130r); a solar ephemeris for 1689-1691 and 1762 (146v-149r); 'Differentiae in Annis' (156v-158r); solar right ascensions for 1690 (167r-168r); and calculations relating to Jupiter's satellites, 1689-1699 (169v-171r).
1 volume.
circa 1687-circa 1699
D Calculations of Jupiter's satellites. Calculations relating to Jupiter's satellites, continued from RGO 1/48C. The writing is probably in James Hodgson's hand, with notes in Flamsteed's hand at the beginning and end. The contents are undated, but refer to 1700-1706.
1 volume.
circa 1707
E Catalogue of southern stars. An undated copy of Edmond Halley's catalogue of southern stars (206r-216r), differing from the published version [1679], with rough calculations relating mostly to eclipses (204v-205r, 217r-244r). The catalogue is undated, but the calculations refer to dates up to 1718. The writing is in Halley's hand.
1 volume.
circa 1700
F Rough calculations. Rough calculations relating mostly to the planets and Jupiter's satellites, compiled from data of 1501, 1641 and 1676-1684, with nonagesimal tables (282r-285r). The writing is mainly in Sharp's hand, but also features those of Flamsteed and another scribe.
1 volume.
circa 1685
G Solar and lunar observations. Solar and lunar observations of 1639 and 1659-1661 by Johann Hevelius. The writing is in a notebook made partly out of the sheets of witnesses' depositions from a Derbyshire source. It probably belonged to Steven Flamsteed.
1 volume.
circa 1663
H Planetary calculations. Calculations (chiefly planetary), with drawings of Jupiter and its satellites; conversion tables for revolutions of a screw (338v-339r); lists of fixed stars (357v-358r, 363r); and notes about clocks (373v-377r). The writing is mainly in Flamsteed's hand, but features at least one other hand, probably that of Thomas Smith, whose name appears at fo. 330r. The papers are undated, but originate mainly from 1677-1678, with some earlier data.
1 volume.
circa 1677–1678
I Rough calculations. Rough calculations compiled by Flamsteed from data of 1699-1705, made in 1707 and later, with memoranda (391v-396v, 407r-411v), including accounts of personal expenditure, 1707-1708; notes on events and dreams, 1707-1708 and 1712-1713; and a statement regarding his independent working habits, 1707-1713.
1 volume.
1707–1713
K Tables of Jupiter's motion. 'Tabulae' of Jupiter's motion compiled from work by William Bossley, with similar tables for Mars compiled from Johann Kepler's work. The volume's contents are undated, but originate from c. 1700, with a note of c. 1703. The writing is in Flamsteed's hand.
1 volume.
circa 1700-circa 1703
L Tables of Saturn's motion. Undated tables of Saturn's motion, apparently in Edmond Halley's hand.
1 volume.
circa 1680
