The papers include letters from the 'Referees' and drafts of Flamsteed's replies; an 'Estimate of the Expence of Printing the Historia Coelestis' (19r); 'Articles for Printing' (34r-39r); a draft agreement (43r); and draft petitions to the Queen (49r-50r, 66r). There are also related statements by Flamsteed concerning his personal history, including drafts of his 'Account of the Obser-vatory' (13a-15b); 'The State of the Observatory' (16r-17v); a 'Short note of dates for my Works' (78r-79r); copies of orders relating to the Observatory's foundation (80r-81v, 98r); a 'Begining of a breife History of the Observatory' (82r-84v); and related memoranda (86r, 87r, 97r). There are pencil notes by Baily throughout.
