Content and context

285 x 230 mm. A view of the ship, cruising under steam power and flying the white ensign. The town itself can be seen in the distance behind the ship's stern. The college and Rev. Lawes' Mission House (with white roofs) can be seen on the hill behind the native village on Ethel Island.
