Content and context

A collection of loose prints intended for the exhibition 'Commonwealth in Focus' but received too late for inclusion. The subjects into which the collection is divided were chosen by the National Library of Jamaica, and are based on the headings used for the sections of the 'Commonwealth in Focus' exhibition. All measure either 250 x 200 mm or 370 x 300 mm. Various photographers.

The collection was given by the National Library of Jamaica in July 1982.

1 Jamaica's multi-racial society is mirrored on the faces of these students, giving credence to the Nation's motto, 'Out of many, one people'. 370 x 300 mm. This photograph appears under the heading 'The people of the Commonwealth, past and present'. The heading was chosen by the National Library of Jamaica, and is one of those based on the headings used for the sections of the 'Commonwealth in Focus' exhibition.
