191 x 127 mm. Showing the stage coach, drawn by a team of ten horses standing in front of the single-storey Royal Hotel at Potchefstroom. The hotel, which was rebuilt in 1902 was, until the coming of the railway, a stopover for passengers travelling by coach between the diamond and the gold fields. The date of the construction of the original building is uncertain. |
