A collection of loose prints mostly measuring 205 x 155 mm. The collection consists of 21 photographs by the Central Office of Information and four from an unknown source (no. 4-6 and 9). The prints are captioned on the reverse.

Received by the Royal Commonwealth Society on 13th December 1965.

1 Prime Minister Chief Lebua Johnathon on steps of his country house. 109 x 155 mm. A full length portrait of Prime Minister Jonathan (1914-1987) standing at the entrance to his country house. Jonathan had been Prime Minister of Lesotho since 1965, until ousted in 1986.

4 Maseru Winter, 1964. 128 x 80 mm. Showing an unidentified stone building set in a landscape of deep snow. The building (with the Union Jack flying from a mast in front of the house) is possibly the British Residency. The snowfall of the winter of 1964 was the heaviest in living memory in Maseru.

10 University of Basutoland, Bechuanaland and Swaziland [now the University of Lesotho]. 156 x 108 mm. Showing the buildings of the three-nation university at Roma. Originally the Pins XII Catholic University College, the non-denominational university came into existence on January 1 1964. With the change of name of two of the participating states, it later became the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland (U.B.L.S.). The Roma Campus was nationalized in October 1975 and thenceforward became the National University of Lesotho.
