271 x 206 mm. A view looking across the lawn towards the crenellated Residency buildings. In front of the entrance a group is gathered around a motor car. A.S. Rogers is identifiable in the centre of the group. The Residency was built in 1903 to the designs of J.H. Sinclair, who served in Zanzibar from 1899 to 1924 and was responsible for many of the public buildings in the town, including the law courts. |
