Collection of thirty-nine (from an original set of forty-nine) loose prints, mounted on card and measuring approximately 375 x 300 mm. The series, which was produced for display at a conference held in Kampala in 1961 on the role of women in Uganda, is accompanied by a typed checklist of captions together with some identification on the reverse of some of the prints. The photographs are split into seven groups:
Group A: In the home
Group B: Women in the making
Group C: Women in public life
Group D: Arts and crafts
Group E: Fashion
Group F: At play
Group G: Jobs for the girls
In addition Mrs Bell gave a collection of fifty-nine negatives. These consist of a complete set of negatives for the forty-nine pictures and ten of captions.
