Sir Cyril Pickard Collection of Nigerian photographs

An album of prints, measuring 200 x 154 mm, recording a tour of North Eastern State, Nigeria, by Sir Cyril Pickard. Some have pencilled captions by Sir Cyril.

The photographs show Sir Cyril in conference with state commissioners and other officials; visiting industrial and development projects, notably the Lake Chad Development Scheme (10-12, 14 and 16-19) and attending social gatherings. Lady Pickard appears in many of the photographs. The album was presented to him by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Information, North-Eastern State.
