228 x 171 mm. The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: 'The most beautiful of medieval monuments in Cyprus. It was founded late in the 13th century and got its name from 'Abbaye de la Paix' (Abbey of Peace). Superbly situated on a rock escarpment half way up the Kyrenia mountains, it commands magnificent views over much of the Kyrenia coast. In this picture Cypriot girls in national costumes dance in front of the cloister'. |
