| Content and context |
Showing two men and two women sitting on a beach having a picnic. A boat is moored in the sea behind them. The typescript caption attached to the reverse of the print reads: 'Picnic luncheon ashore is a relaxing noon time 'break' for a group of yachting enthusiasts. Charter yachts sailing out of Nassau harbour are one of the most popular forms of vacation among visitors who love the sea. Other resort islands as well as remote cays are all on the agenda for the explorer of the archipelago.' The caption also reads: 'From: Bahamas News Bureau', and 'Direction of (to): Robinson-Hannagan Associates', and gives full address details for both. The print itself is stamped on the reverse with 'Bahamas News Bureau Photo', and the number '6841.' |
