Content and context

David Christopher Devenish (b. 1938), B.A., A.M.A., was Curator of the Gibraltar Museum, 1967-1970.

A copy of a book describing the archaeology of Gibraltar and its history up to 1704, comprising 68 pages with an 8 page bibliography and acknowledgements. The original book was to have been illustrated. However, the illustrations were lost when the publisher went bankrupt, and the book remained unpublished. There is an accompanying letter by David Devenish, 25 June 2003.
