Content and context

Monica Melanie Storrs (1888-1967) was born on 12 February 1888, the daughter of Dean Storrs of Rochester. In 1929 she became an itinerant missionary in the northern Peace District of British Colombia. She travelled vast distances on horseback, and kept diaries of her experiences that were printed in monthly instalments for private circulation. She retired in 1950 and returned to England, where she died on 14 December 1967.

Diary extracts, a photograph and other papers of Monica Storrs and biographical material composed after her death.
