The Oxford and Cambridge Mission to Central Africa was founded in 1858. It became the Oxford, Cambridge, Dublin and Durham Mission to Central Africa in 1860, and the Universities' Mission to Central Africa in 1865. It merged with the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts in 1965 to become the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel.
