Content and context

Graeme Cantrell went out to Johor about 1908 or 1909 to work as an Assistant on the Linsum Estate, which was owned by the Anglo-Malay Rubber Company.

A memoir by Cantrall describing the living and working conditions on his rubber estate, the Malay, Chinese and Tamil labourers employed there, European acquaintances, and general impressions of Singapore and the Federated Malay States during 1908-1911 (5 pages).
