Content and context

Contains prints of various sizes (mounted on thin card) by Paul Laib of drawings by William Walcot in 1913 from the designs of Sir Herbert Baker and Sir Edwin Lutyens for New Delhi. They have been bound up by the India Office Library with the spine title 'Architect's, Sketches of Delhi Secretariat Buildings', but this is not correct, since they show other designs as well.

Further information

Most of the originals are reproduced, in many cases in colour, in: Irving, R.G. (1981). Indian summer : Lutyens, Baker, and Imperial Delhi, Newhaven, London : Yale University Press. Plate numbers and page numbers are provided with the individual prints. Descriptions were, in most cases, taken from this publication.
