Half-plate (landscape format). By the carriage is seen the beginning of a vast series of slag heaps left from ancient copper smelting. Middle distance, the monastery of Scoriotissa and beyond that on the left, the church of the village of Katydata: olive trees and caroabs: one of the richest valleys in Cyprus: splendid water supply coming straight down from the mountains. |
