William Kerr was Supervisor of Customs, Kelantan in 1920.

An album containing prints measuring approximately 135 x 80 mm, most captioned either in manuscript beneath the print or in the negative. Captions composed for this entry are enclosed in square brackets. The album contains mainly scenic views. Photographs are probably by William Kerr.

The album was a Christmas gift to Mr. and Mrs. William Langham-Carter from William Kerr.

1 Kelantan Volunteer Rifles, Sikh Police Band, circa 1914. 129 x 77 mm. Showing the Sikh band marching past with three officers of the K.V.R. following behind. These are identified as: D.C.R. RAINNIE, Duff Development Company; William LANGHAM-CARTER, British Adviser; and Herbert Alfred ANDERSON, C.O. of the K.V.R.
Good condition, apart from slight fading..
2 [Kelantan Volunteer Rifles, Sikh Police Band, circa 1914]. 128 x 76 mm. A more distant view of the scene in the preceding plate, looking along the road (presumably in the capital of Kelantan, Kota Bahru) toward the marching group.

3 On the way to market, Pasir Tomoh. 129 x 78 mm. Showing groups of Malays with bundles of produce on their heads walking along a road at Pasir Tomoh. The precise location of Pasir Tomoh has not been identified, but it is presumably in the vicinity of Kampong Tomah, which is situated south-east of Kota Bahru near the border with Perak.
Good condition, part from slight chemical spotting..
4 Market scene, [?] P. Datoh. 130 x 79 mm. Showing a riverside market scene, with men and women gathered round the canoes moored on the bank.
Good condition. Caption partially illegible..
5 [Europeans picknicking, ? Kota Bahru]. 125 x 80 mm. Showing groups of Europeans seated on mats on the ground beneath palm trees. Occasion unidentified.

6 Market scene, [?] Pasir Datoh. 130 x 79 mm. A similar view to BAM 14/4, taken at the same location and on the same day, but showing more of the crowd of Malays gathered for the market.

7 [River view, ? Kota Bharu]. 129 x 80 mm. View looking along a river, probably the Kelantan River at Kota Bahru, with canoes and other vessels moored in the foreground.
