Content and context

Deplores the behaviour of the English, French, and German premiers at the indemnity negotiations. Suggests that a postscript to Keynes's book [The Economic Consequences of the Peace], in the form of a pamphlet explaining the present financial situation, would be welcome. Apologises for missing a meeting of the Royal Economic Society.
