(i) (40 Wimpole Street, London.) Thanks him for correcting the interpretation put on his speech by Sir R. W. Smith during last night's debate [on the Maternity Services (Scotland) Bill]. Solicits the Labour Party's support for a bill he intends to introduce, and encloses a copy of it.

(The bill (ii) is dated 5 February 1937, the day on which it was intended to be introduced.)
