Content and context

(New Delhi.) The prime minister [Nehru] is not aware of Meliscent Shephard's work for India, and there is no fund in India to assist such persons. Suggests that women's organisations in England might be able to raise money for her. Thanks him for coming to the meeting in London organised for her by the Council of Women.
