Title Letter from the Earl of Dundee to Lord Pethick-Lawrence.
Reference 1/208
Covering Dates 17 July 1959
Extent and Medium 1 doc
Content and context

(Treasury Chambers.) Refers to a query raised by Pethick-Lawrence during a debate on the Pensions (Increase) Bill as to the number of persons formerly in public employ to whom the Bill applies who are presently in receipt of national assistance. The National Assistance Board advise that it would be extremely laborious to extract this information, but Dundee supposes the number must be very small.
