Linfoot was John Couch Adams Astronomer and Assistant Director of the University Observatory at Cambridge 1948-70.

This small archive consists of notes of lectures by G H Hardy and Abram Besicovitch at Oxford 1925-28 and by van der Waerdon, H Bohr, and Landau at Gottingen 1928-29 and Landau and P Alexandroff at Princeton 1929-30
