Content and context

Gordon Kerr Montagu Butler was born in 1891, a younger brother of J R M Butler. He attended Harrow and was admitted to Trinity as an Entrance Scholar in 1910, having a successful undergraduate career. He died of an illness in Egypt in 1916 while serving with the Scottish Horse.
