Content and context

Agnata Ramsay was born on 28 Jan 1867, third daughter of Sir James Henry Ramsay, bart and his wife Mary née Scott-Kerr. She entered Girton College in 1884, gaining a I:i in Part I Classics in 1887. The following year she married Henry Montagu Butler, after whose death she developed an interest in Christian Science. She died in 1931.
