| Content and context |
| (Croft Cottage, Barton Road, Cambridge) Is sorry to hear his account of Clifford's health and will do what he can [to raise subscriptions] amongst the residents. George Darwin has gone abroad for the sake of his health, so Pollock should not be surprised if he does not receive a reply from him. Asks whether he sends out his applications as circulars (lithographed or printed) or as separate letters, and suggests a form of circular which he (Jackson) might print with his own papyrograph. Will write to him about the Women's Education Union shortly. His wife is gaining strength. Will discuss various schemes for collegiate reform with him when they meet at the end of the week.
