Content and context

Thanks her for her letter. Quotes a sentence in the autobiographical fragment relating to HS' interest in psychical research, and his 'hope of direct proof of the continued individual existence which he regarded as necessary from an ethical point of view'. States that he would not quote the words, but intimate the general intention, and would make no comment.
