| The Thomas H. Manning Polar Archives in the Scott Polar Research Institute houses the world's most comprehensive collection of unpublished polar material. About half the collection is of Antarctic interest and covers all parts of the continent and islands. Of that which relates to the Arctic, the exploration of northern Canada is particularly well represented, although all other regions are covered to some extent (notably Greenland and Svalbard). The Polar Archives' website includes information about the collections and a partial list of the archival holdings is available via the Archives Hub at www.spri.cam.ac.uk/library/archives A published catalogue is also available at: Manuscripts in the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, England: a catalogue by Clive Holland. (New York ; London : Garland Publishing, 1982) ISBN 0824093941 Please note that the complete catalogue of the Polar Archives is not yet available online. Detailed chronologies of polar exploration, largely based on SPRI records, appear in: The exploration of northern Canada by Alan Cooke and Clive Holland (Toronto: Arctic History Press, 1978) ISBN 0771022654 Arctic exploration and development c.500 B.C. to 1915 by Clive Holland (New York and London: Garland Press, 1994) ISBN 0824076486 Chronological list of Antarctic expeditions and related historical events by Robert Headland (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1989) ISBN 0521309034.
