Content and context

WCHL 10/1-8 were deposited in 1974 by Martin Gilbert. 10/9-10 were loaned to Churchill Archives Centre by Mr Randolph Churchill in January 2007.

Adana Miilakati. Photograph album of uncaptioned photographs of Churchill during his visit to Turkey, 1943. Presented to Churchill by the Turkish Ambassador.

Dalmatia in the Fight for Freedom. Photograph album with captions of resistance to German occupation presented to Churchill and signed by Tito.

Blue bound album of captioned photographs taken during the Quebec Conference.

White bound album of uncaptioned and undated photographs of Churchill on visit to Switzerland accompanied by his daughter, Mary Churchill.

Copy of one of four commemorative albums, which was presented to the British Embassy in Tehran [Iran] in 1970, (the other three being presented to Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt and Stalin). Includes photographs of the Shah of Iran, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin, the presentation of a ceremonial sword to the people of Stalingrad [Soviet Union] and Churchill's 69th birthday party.
