The papers of Max Ferdinand Perutz

This series mainly comprises reference requests for employment and nominations for awards, including the Nobel Prize. Also included are off-prints of scientific and philosophical papers. The material relating to groups and organisations has been arranged into a separate series.

The correspondence could be found in a number of different files, most of which were labelled alphabetically. Some of the correspondence was loose and unsorted and has been arranged accordingly.

Much of the material concerns recommendations for prizes, and reference requests. In light of this, some of the files have been closed on data protection grounds. Where practical if closed material could be separated from the file easily, where there was a clear division, then the rest of the records are open to researchers.
