The Papers of Aubrey Leo Kennedy

Title Journals
Reference LKEN 1
Covering Dates 1919–1946
Extent and Medium 25 volumes
Content and context

Kennedy's journals were written during his career as diplomatic correspondent of "The Times" from 1919-42 and subsequently as diplomatic correspondent, European Division, with the BBC and give a fascinating insight into the events and personalities at the centre of affairs in Europe in the years between the Wars and during the Second World War. Inserted into the volumes are typescripts of interviews Kennedy conducted with Anthony Eden, Sir John Simon and with President Benes of Czechoslovakia amongst others.
