2A Photographs of the wedding of Alan Lascelles and Joan Lascelles [née Joan Thesiger]. Joan Lascelles was the daughter of Lord Chelmsford [Frederick John Napier Thesiger, 1st Viscount Chelmsford], who was Viceroy of India, 1916-21. She and Alan Lascelles were married in Delhi, India, 16 March 1920. The ceremony took place at St James' Church, the reception at the Viceregal Lodge and the honeymoon in Kashmir. All the photographs are black-and-white. They were taken by A. R. Datt of Delhi and Johnston & Hoffmann of Calcutta. With a copy of The Empress (Vol. XXXV, no. 2), March 1920, containing a report of the wedding, pp. 1-4.
