It covers not only Government policy but also the major industrial disputes over wages. Part 1 covers the Wartime background and the Labour Government of 1945-51. Part 2 covers the Conservative Governments from 1951 to March 1956 and the White Paper on "The economic implications of full employment" (Cmd 9725).
