Robin Chichester-Clark was born on 10th January 1928, the son of Captain James Chichester-Clark (name changed from Clark in 1922) and Marion Chichester (later Brackenbury). Robin Chichester-Clark was an Ulster Unionist MP from 1955 until February 1974; PPS to Financial Secretary to the Treasury, 1958; Asst Government Whip (unpaid), 1958-60; a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, 1960-61; Comptroller of HM Household, 1961-64; Chief Opposition Spokesman on Northern Ireland, 1964-70, on Public Building and Works and the Arts, 1965-70; Minister of State, Dept of Employment, 1972-74. He was the Director of the Institute of Works Managers, 1968 - 1972. He is the brother of James Chichester-Clark, Lord Moyola, who was Prime Minister of Northern Ireland from 1969 - 1971.

The collection is open for consultation by researchers using Churchill Archives Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge. Churchill Archives Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. A prior appointment and two forms of identification are required.
