Papers of Sir Harry Parkes

A copy of a memorandum (in French) issued by the Société Générale pour Favoriser le Développement du Commerce et de l'Industrie en France concerning a public subscription, apparently for shares in the Compagnie Française d'Exportation et d'Importation, c. 1867, 1 bifolio, including a note (in English) from Alexander von Siebold to Parkes, c. 1867. There are also two folios of undated notes in Parkes' hand, partly concerning Siebold, and an envelope addressed by Siebold to Parkes in Japan, care of Francis Alston in London.
