Louis Gabriel Deplace (1820-1884) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Hadrianopolis and Vicar Apostolic of Peking and North Chihli.

A letter (in French) from Tientsin excusing the author from accepting an invitation to Peking for 24 January on the grounds that on that day he must visit areas affected by flooding.
