Allan B. Stewart was a Director of Matheson & Co. Ltd, 1936-1939.

A typescript of entries from the diary of Allan B. Stewart for the period 25 November 1936 to 16 February 1937. Most of the entries concern business matters, including Agnat Ltd; the archives of Jardine, Matheson & Co.; an egg conference; Goldrei; the King-Kan Railway; the liquidation of T.C.C.; and the reconstruction of Jardine, Matheson & Co. There are frequent references to the activities of individual members of Matheson & Co. Ltd.

The diary was formerly part of the Chairman's private historical papers held in Matheson & Co. Ltd's strongroom.
