Typescript correspondence and related documents regarding the Villa Stearns Co. and its involvement in the silk trade, including its relationships with Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd and Chabrières, Morel and Co. The correspondents include C.E. Anton, L. Camera, Henry Keswick, H.D. Klots, Henry Morel-Journel and A.R. Riddle. The related documents include two typescript reports on Villa Stearns from Camera to Henry Keswick, 8 April 1914 and 4 May 1914, and a page of manuscript notes on Camera's proposals regarding Villa Stearns, undated.

The documents were formerly part of the Chairman's private historical papers held in Matheson & Co. Ltd's strongroom.
