Letters from W.B. Walter and Jardine Matheson, Yokohama, to correspondents in London. Most of the letters are to William Keswick, but there are also some to Henry Rogers, Sons & Co. and Wallace Brothers. Many of the letters are manuscript originals, but there are also press and manuscript copies. The letters enclose copies of other letters and telegrams, as well as invoices, memoranda and other papers. There are a few additional documents, including a draft of an agreement for the sale of copper to Jardine Matheson, Yokohama, 1888. The original envelope, which has been retained, is labelled 'Yokohama Letters 1888', and is addressed to B.D.F. Beith, W. Saxmundham, Suffolk. |
